The Drowning Woman by Robyn Harding

The twists in this book had me dizzy trying to connect the dots! The Drowning Woman starts slow, building up the story and the tension. Then BAM, you’re left on a cliffhanger at the end of Part 1. Then things get crazy, disturbing, and wild. You think you can trust this character turns out you can’t (1st betrayal). Then you think you can trust another character till you find out their dark past (2nd betrayal). THEN you’re thinking well what about this character and then BAM again (3rd betrayal). So many betrayals!

Speechless. I don’t know how to feel after finishing this book. It’s a little bit slow and then it picks up and I couldn’t put it down. The ending left me wanting more. I absolutely hated the main antagonist. I wished more things happened to him.

Review on Fable

I opened my Kindle looking for my next read. I was looking for a thriller or a horror book to read after finishing Onyx Storm. As I searched through my Kindle Unlimited list, I saw this book and it had a good enough rating that I was intrigued.

Lee Gulliver has been living in her car after becoming homeless. She made some shady deals for her failing business and is now on the run. Lee works the night shift as a waitress for a local diner. After her shift, she drives her car to a beach to sleep surrounded by woods, thinking there’s no one around. She wakes up at dusk and notices a full-clothes woman walking into the water. Lee rushes to action and saves the lady from drowning. The lady yells at Lee telling her that she wanted to die and tells her of all the horrible things that are happening at her home. The lady, Hazel, is a wealthy woman who’s being abused by her husband. Hazel wants Lee to help her escape so she can finally leave him. Nothing bad will happen, right?

Sociopaths are made—shaped by their environment and circumstances—but psychopaths are born.

Like I mentioned above, this book does start slow. You get a sense of who these characters are and what their motivations are. Then everything goes downhill! If you like suspenseful thrillers that suck you in, you need to go read this book.
