Wild Love Book with a dock in the background

Wild Love by Elsie Silver

I asked BookTok (Readers on TikTok) to choose my next read. It was between Wild Love, the first of a romance trilogy by Elsie Silver, and Rebel Witch, the second book of the Crimson Moth series. The readers were unanimous in their decision. Wild Love is a must-read. Except, I did realize this was a single-dad romance book.

Rosalie Belmont leaves her job (well she was fired) and her boyfriend behind to move back to her hometown of Rose Hill. Her brother, West, has a home there so he offers (more like reluctantly accepts) her the guest house on his property. Ford Grant is the World’s Sexiest Billionaire and has returned to his hometown of Rose Hill (what a coincidence) to built his record studio, Rose Hill Records. Ford is also West’s best friend. He’s unexpectedly greeted by young girl, Cora, telling him that Ford is her biological father. He’s thrown in a loop trying to juggle opening a new studio, being a new dad, and keeping his distance from his best friend’s hot sister.

A corny, romantic, spicy romcom is just what I needed. My first Elsie Silver book and it didn’t disappoint. I really enjoyed the frenemies to lovers banter between the two main characters. I will definitely be continuing the series.

⭐⭐⭐
Review on Fable

I really enjoyed reading Wild Love, currently available on Kindle Unlimited. It was loving and, at times, a little cheesy, but overall it was enjoyable. The chemistry with the two character was undeniable. I enjoyed the “frenemies to lovers” trope and even the hot single dad trope. It came together beautifully at the end and I may have even shed a tear or two.

I want a wild love….I want this feeling I have with you where it hurts to breathe when you get too far away, where my skin itches uncontrollably when you look at me.

While this was a cute romance, I enjoy books that have a better climax (no pun intended) and a problem the characters have to overcome. That’s one of the reasons I gave it a 3-star rating. I’ve heard that the series gets better and continues with Rosie’s brother, Wes, so I’m excited to see what happens in his book. Be sure to be on the lookout for my post reviewing that book.
