The Crash by Freida McFadden
We’re introduced to Tegan Werner. She is currently 8-months pregnant living alone in a small apartment. She had a one-night stand with a man she met, Simon Lamar (a wealthy businessman). Turns out, Simon is actually married! Simon tells Tegan that he’ll give her a large sum of money if she never tells anyone that he’s the father. Tegan starts to remember some things that took place that night with Simon and backs out of signing the NDA. Tegan calls her brother, Dennis Werner, to tell him what happened. He tells her to come visit him; a 2-hour drive away. As she heads over to her brother’s, it starts snowing pretty hard. Tegan starts to lose control of the car, slides and hits a tree. That is just the beginning to this torturous ordeal that Tegan has to endure. Will she ever make it to her brother’s?
So I liked the premise of this story. It was super addicting and I needed to know what happened. And I really think you should experience this for yourself. However, I think the ending didn’t work for this book.

Review on Fable
Overall I really enjoyed The Crash, and it’s on Kindle Unlimited. I liked the pace, the characters, the thrill. While some things made me angry, the suspense was there. It was gripping and exciting; it made me want to never drive in the snow, or trust anyone ever again. You just don’t know who you can trust in this book. This book takes you for a ride, then strangles you, then hugs you, and then finally breaks your kneecaps (IYKYK). After all that said, I think you should read this book.
I’ve read so many Freida McFadden books that I’ve lost count. Sometimes her books are a hit and sometimes the twists just doesn’t hit right. This premise of this book was good, the twist was unexpected. However, the ending left me a little unsatisfied.
With two broken legs, Tegan will truly be at our mercy.
But the BIGGEST question is: did I have fun? Without a doubt: YES. Were there plot holes? Yes. Did I want to reach into the book and give Tegan a good shake? Yes. Was I at the edge of my seat for most of the book? Yes. Did the antagonist get what they deserved? Only one of them kinda did. I wanted a better ending but I understand why she wrote it this way.
