Not In Love by Ali Hazelwood
Who says dating apps are just for casual one-night stands? But what if the guy’s private equity firm is taking over your company!? I’ve ready almost all Ali Hazelwood books and this book is probably her spiciest. I really enjoyed the audiobook for Not in Love, especially with the dual POV’s and narration. I really like when the narrators play their own characters in each chapter and don’t rely on just shifting their voices for the other. This is very similar to Scythe & Sparrow audiobook as well.
Ali Hazelwood can do no wrong. Definitely spicier than her other books but I’m not complaining. Everyone needs an Eli in their life; if only men written by women existed.

Review on Fable
Ali Hazelwood’s books always follow the same structure: the characters have met before and now they’re enemies! It’s the lovers/friends/acquaintance to enemies to lovers trope; and I love it every single time. Two POVs helped build the relationship and get a better idea with how each character feels for one another.
“Do I ever get distracted?”
Eli and Rue meet for the first time in a hotel lobby in Austin, Texas. They had met on a dating app online and scheduled a time and date for a casual one-night stand. Although nothing ends up happening that night, Eli can’t stop thinking about Rue. The next day at Rue’s job, the tech startup Kline, Rue sees Eli again except this time it’s because his private equity company, Harkness, has taken ownership of Kline’s loan assignment. Did Eli know Rue worked at Kline? Did Rue know Eli worked at Harkness? Will this forbidden, work romance ignite or burn before it even starts?
This book was a steamy listen from start to finish. Ali Hazelwood’s books can do no wrong. If you’re looking to read a contemporary romance with traumatic beginnings and explicit spicy scenes, then make sure to add this to your TBR.
